This application provides a unique easy-to-use option of locating, retrieving and replaying network image-, sound- and multimedia files. As the name implies, Cresotech PocketLANce is a software program for operations with LAN from a Windows CE- powered device (Pocket PC). Cresotech PocketLANce turns your Pocket PC into a fully functional workstation providing it with access to the local Windows-network resources. Due to this program, there is no further necessity to use ActiveSync each time you want to copy a file to/from PDA-device.
As far as future versions appear Pocket PC users will be able to access their network directly, bypassing desktop PC. This will help to completely eliminate the gap between Pocket and Desktop PC applications. The use of Cresotech PocketLANce does not require any additional software drivers/libraries or extra hardware equipment. In order to use Cresotech PocketLANce you don't even need to have a PC card! Although having one, would give you an advantage, as far as using PC card will significantly increase the speed of network connections resulting in more effective and comfortable work.
